Meet John, our Co-founder:
John's passion for cars has been lifelong, yet he initially pursued a career in Civil Engineering. Despite enjoying his work and achieving financial stability, the yearning for a more personally fulfilling venture lingered. He made a bold move, leaving his job without a clear plan, only to return after four months. It was a setback, but a valuable lesson.
Acknowledging the need for a more strategic approach, John's partner, Fernanda, suggested volunteering at a local car dealership one day a week. This gradual immersion allowed him to explore his passion without risking his day job. Despite initial resistance to the slower pace, John embraced the opportunity.
Connecting with Auto Seven 7 Ltd, he reduced his day job to four days a week and volunteered at the dealership every Friday. The experience was transformative, leading to a full-time role at the dealership. This measured approach not only mitigated financial risks but also provided a real-world understanding of the industry.
John's journey showcases the benefits of a patient and strategic entry into a new career. This approach minimises financial risks, allowing for a gradual transition. It also enables individuals to assess their interest and suitability for a particular job before making a full commitment.
